Parish Online News - Reduction in Trial Time, Changes to APGB, Data Sharing & Playgrounds Reopening

Changes to APGB agreement

In the next few weeks you will be required to re-sign the APGB member licence that gives you access to high resolution aerial photography. You'll receive a pop-up when you log into your Parish Online account.

The reason for having to re-sign is that the provider of the streaming service that Parish Online uses to receive the data is changing. It's a bit of a pain, but something we've got to do.

If you receive any emails from APGB or the Geospatial Commission asking you to download WMS feeds, don't worry about that, we're taking care of it to save you the extra admin!

Reopening Playgrounds and Outdoor Gyms

As of the 4th July playgrounds and outdoor gyms were able to reopen but precautions and guidelines should be adhered to to minimise the risk of transmitting COVID-19.

Parish Online can help your local council plan the reopening of your play area and outdoor gym by allowing you to:
- Print maps or share Parish Online with your colleagues
- Add your playground sites to your digital asset register
- Log maintenance and inspection information to your assets

For helpful and practical advice on how to safely reopen, BHIB Councils Insurance have put together a guide for local councils.

Another Local Authority Shares Data

North East Derbyshire and Bolsolver are now sharing all their planning and environment data into Parish Online.

It's free and easy for your principal local authority to share data into Parish Online. It benefits all parishes in your area allowing you to self-serve, and the council receive less enquiries from you! Ask them to share their GIS data to Parish Online today.
