Parish Online News - YouTube Live and New Datasets

Happy new year to everyone!

We've had a good start to the new year with plenty of new subscribers and exciting plans for new features. We're currently working on improvements to tools, including the annotate and layer creation tool. We're also planning to launch a public map feed within Parish Online.

The public map that we are working on is interactive and can be embedded into your website. Our aim is to help councils improve access to information for local residents (i.e defibrillator locations, local planning applications etc), improve transparency and reduce the need for people to contact the council directly. We aim to launch the public map by June 2020.

We've seen lots of local councils using the Asset Register over the last few months and producing some good data. With support from BHIB Councils Insurance we will be improving the Asset Register group layers, which will further help you to plot your assets.

Also, after the success of our last YouTube live training session which has had over 350 views, we are hosting another session on January 23rd from 10:00 - 11:00; see details below:

Youtube Live Broadcasting

After the success of our last broadcast, we will be hosting another YouTube Live Training Session, which will be on January 23rd from 10:00 - 11:00. This video will be focusing on editing, annotating and measuring in Parish Online.

This link will take you to the video streaming:

We hope to see you there.

New Datasets Added

We have recently uploaded Conservation Areas from Wiltshire County Council. These are available for all accounts in that area. They can be found under WCC - Environment. If there are any other datasets you would like to see, let us know.

If you need anything else, please send us a support ticket.

Many thanks,

The Parish Online team
