Online Training Sessions

We recently held an online training session for Berkshire ALC, it was well received and had a great turnout with over 40 delegates joining us.

The all-day training session covered the basics of Parish Online, including tools and features and more in depth training focusing on advanced tasks such as configuring layers, sharing Parish Online and data extract.

If you're interested in this, you can request training through your ALC.

FAQ's

Q. I've forgotten my password, what should I do?
A. You can reset your password from the login page by using the 'Reset Password' function.

Q. I want to sign up but in the drop down box you only have CP, what does that mean?
A. 'CP' stands for Civil Parish. It's just how we hold your Local Council names in our database.

Q. My Parish Boundary is wrong, can you change it?
A. We get this information from Ordnance Survey, we don't manually update any parish boundaries ourselves. Make sure you get in contact with OS just to make them aware of the changes.
If you're a grouped parish then we can modify your account to reflect the updates, please contact us to request this grouping.

Q. How many users can we have?
A. You can add as many users as you'd like. User accounts allow a clerk to share responsibilities with councillors, neighbourhood plan groups, volunteers or consultants.
Accounts can be set to limit the user's ability to view and edit data. This ensures that data can only be edited by chosen users. For more information on how to do this, click here.

New Icons

Data Showcase

Within Parish Online you can find the Boundaries dataset from Ordnance Survey, this includes various information on:

You might use this dataset to discover the area that your parish council actually covers and to compare the difference between wards and constituencies.

With the local elections coming up in May, the political Boundaries will be useful as they allow you to see what polling districts and electoral boundaries are within your area.

New Case Study

"As part of the Neighbourhood Plan process the Steering Group have suggested extending the Conservation Area. Parish Online has been really useful for mapping these proposed changes, allowing the area to be drawn to detail around individual properties. I was then able share professional detailed plans with the Local Authority"

We've just uploaded another case study to our website. Read more about how Faversham Town Council use Parish Online for the daily council tasks.

Want to showcase how efficient, modern and generally fantastic your council has been through using digital mapping? Download our case study template and send us your story.
