Mapping articles in The Clerk Magazine (SLCC)

The May edition of 'The Clerk Magazine' published by the Society of Local Council Clerks (SLCC) is one to look out for this month. It contains two articles by Denis Payne (PSGA User Group) on the availability and benefits of computer-based mapping.

For those already using Parish Online, you'll already be aware of the benefits of quick and easy access to digital mapping, but it's great to see the topic get more coverage. In the article Denis makes the point that "you're no longer using handwritten minutes, so is it time to switch to computer mapping?".

The article notes that over 1200 Town and Parish Councils use digital mapping already, the majority of these are Parish Online users, and our user base is growing by the day.

The Society of Local Council Clerks is the professional body for local council clerks. Their membership services are designed to support you in your everyday working life by providing you with accurate advice to ensure you are fully briefed on the latest legislation, regulation and developments within our sector.

You can also meet like-minded individuals through their network, expand your skills using their training courses, events or qualifications and join the online, professional e-Forum.

They are developing fast and increasingly recognised as the body which represents and promotes 'best practice' in the sector. Click here for a full list of membership benefits.
